Transparency

Lately, while reading Matthew's blog and related blogs I have found myself weeping. It is rather inexplicable. . . There is such an utter transparency I see there than causes me to cry. I see such a child-likeness that is simplicity and beauty. I feel myself propelled toward the heart of God which beckons me come and abandon all. Which gentle voice tells me that it the place I long to be.

  1. I have loved Matthew's transparency, as well as the other blogging friends that I've gotten to know. It truly is very refreshing!

  2. I am slow to respond. . . It is beginning to occur to me that maybe I should acknowledge that I read your comment and that I really appreciate it. . . As i said at first, I am a little slow. . .ha ha ha. I have to say that i really enjoyed your comments on Mathews blog regarding politics and America's foundation etc. . . They are exactly the same thoughts that Dan and I have thought. I got a kick out of the fact that we weren't the only ones who thought such counter america christian culture thoughts. . . It is all so beyond my understanding! And therein lies the rub. . . and what a rub it is. . . Okay, I'll stop now. . .

  3. LOL... hey, no problem!

Interesting how you say your thoughts line up with mine on the subject matter over on Matthew's blog. I've rarely found anyone else to be of that mind, except a few of the others who also commented there. Since coming to know and love God's grace and His life and kingdom in a deeper way (while of course having much more learning to do), I simply have come to see it all as contrary to this world system. We're in this world but not of it, and our sole hope and joy is in the Lord. :)

  4. I know exactly what you are talking about! Both Dan and I, when we first experienced the reality of the grace of God, found ourselves questioning everything. It was like that false foundation we'd built our life on was so clearly false, that we couldn't help but see how things no longer lined up. Like what the purpose of "church" was. And then we started wondering what a whole lot of "churches" foundations were. Because they certainly didn't seem to be built upon Jesus Christ, our total suffiency. Nope, what Jesus did is not quite enough in many Christian circles. And truly our world was turned upside down. So, everything we used to believe was taken out and revealed for what it was. The sad thing is that it was easy for us to then put people back under a law of our own making because they didn't see what they were doing. Ah, but He is leading us down the path of love. And that is why I just want to gaze on His beauty and just from doing so I know His love will pour out from me. Rest.
